Contract Senior Technical System Engineer (UNIX Platform)

Academic Requirements:
− Degree or Higher Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent

Job Requirements:
− Act as a single focal point to coordinate and collaborate among various teams of ITS Section to support IS/IT Project Initiatives as well as being a Technical Lead to review the architecture and design of IS/IT Projects on Infrastructure side.
− Handle of Change, Problem, and Incident
− Assist in system upgrade, administration, and documentation update.
− Assist in problem analysis, report, and providing solutions to incidents.
− Plan and apply security patches and patches to rectify security vulnerabilities or critical issues of the platforms regularly or on need basis.
− Assist in managing, troubleshooting, and supporting IT infrastructure with following technical background and knowledge on followings areas:
o Proficiency in Oracle Solaris, Oracle DB and E-Business Suite (R12.13, R12.2.10 or above) support, troubleshooting and performance tuning on infrastructure side (Mandatory)
o Experience of following technical skills are advantages:
 UNIX OS support such as Red Hat, HP UNIX, IBM AIX, Oracle Solaris
 IBM DB2 cluster
 DB cluster and replication software such as Data Guard, ServiceGuard, etc.
 System Programming skill using PowerShell, shell script, etc.
 Familiar with automation and infrastructure toolsets such as Splunk, Ansible, Red Hat Satellite and familiar with development of playbook

Attributes / Working Experience:
− Minimum 10 years experiences in IT Infrastructure with excellent technical skills and support experience of Oracle Solaris, Oracle DB and E-Business Suite (EBS) in the past 5 years.
− Self-initiative and work with passion, a can-do attitude with strong ownership.
− Sound problem solving and troubleshooting skills of the UNIX like environment.
− Able to work independently and under pressure to meet defined schedule/deadline and KPIs.
− Good team player, good interpersonal and communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese preferably including Putonghua.
− Good attitude and cross-team collaboration work.
− Possession of related IT certification is an advantage.
